BK MIKRO: The Scanners

Unequaled Reliability

  • Variety of scanners and wands for for axially rotating or a linear scanning movements.
  • Extremely rugged design thanks to the sturdy, abrasion-proof aluminium or chrome-plated stainless steel housing.
  • Speed and torque of the wand can be controlled allowing the wand to gently touch an object. This allows for axial checking of rotating tooling as small as 0.3mm in diameter and the detection of smallest damages.
  • The IP67 protected housing is absolutely impermeable to aggressive coolants and chips.
  • The potential-free scanning allows the monitoring of non-conductive objects.
  • The alignment of the scanner is easy and can be done without additional setting instruments or adjusting aids.
  • Optimized forward travel of the wand to the tool tip in order to reduce the minimal effects of the scanning time on the machine cycle, e.g. to 150 ms.

Scanners BK MIKRO

TK7A / TK7RL - compact and fast

The TK7 is established in the price sensitive segment, preferably for quick and simple monitoring tasks.
  • TK7A: scanning in one direction (right or left)
  • TK7RL: for bidirectional scanning

Technical data

Housing Anodized aluminum
Protection class IP67
Wand length 165 mm (standard) ø 1.2 mm, wand exchangeable
Scanning angle TK7A max. 270°, TK7RL max. 360°
Control unit connection Small circular connector M12x1, 8 pin
Ambient temperature 0 °C up to +80 °C
Scanning cycles > 5 million at minimum scanning intensity

TK8A - compact and precise

TK8 The TK8 is particularly suitable for precise scanning results with relatively short scanning cycles.
  • Unidirectional scanning (left or right)
  • Axially rotating tool monitoring (too tip)

Ambient temperature 0 °C up to +80 °C
Scanning cycles > 5 million at minimum scanning intensity

TK91A - powerful drive, high precision

TK91a The TK91A is ideally suited for monitoring long tools (tips) and for detecting smallest deviations (e.g. checking profiles).
  • Unidirectional scanning
  • Axially rotating tool monitoring (too tip)
  • Checking shapes

Scanning cycles > 5 million at minimum scanning intensity

TK94A / TK9RL - robust, "high speed"

TK94 The TK94 components are ideal solutions for monitoring applications which require particularly robust scanners for extremely short scanning cycles.
  • TK94A: unidirectional scanning
  • TK94RL: bidirectional scanning
  • Tool and workpiece monitoring

Technical data

TK96 - small and tough

TK96 The scanners TK96A (unidirectional scanning) and TK96RL bidirectional scanning) are designed for use in tight working areas with only few space left. The housing made of stainless steel is extra resistant to coolants and chips.
  • Single-sided and both-sided rotation
  • Tool, workpiece and free space monitoring
