New Scanner TK96: Small and Tough

With merely 91 mm in length and 12 mm in diameter, the new TK96 scanner is predestined for use in tight working areas with only few space left for mounting additional components like the tool monitoring system.

The IP67 protected scanner is made of stainless steel which is extra resistant to coolants and chips. It is specified for an ambient temperature of up to +65 °C.

For detecting a tool break or scanning objects respectively an area for free space, the wand will be accelerated up to 420°/sec at an accuracy of 1.2°. Depending on the control unit there are up to eight settings for controlled deceleration available in order to detect a break even for rotating tools with diameters down to 0.7 mm.

Two versions of the scanner are available for single-sided (TK96A) or both-sided rotation (TK96RL) of the wand. It can be connected to any of the BK MIKRO9 control units. The installation of the scanner within the working area does not require any adjusting aids.
