Control System for Tool Breakage and Object Monitoring with PROFIBUS Interface or Digital I/Os
BK MIKRO9 integrates almost all features of the known BK MIKRO systems. It is usable for tool monitoring and object or free space monitoring purposes.
The MIKRO9 system contents
- A control unit (BK MIKRO91, BK MIKRO92 oder BK MIKRO93; BK MIKRO9I/O as option)
- A scnanner (TK 7A/RL, TK 8A, TK91A)
- Connection cable

- Profibus
All options and parameters (scanning angles, tolerances) will be managed by the Profibus master (PLC). The BK MIKRO9 system is fully featured.
- Parameterization with Desktop Software and Digital I/Os
All tool and object parameters will be managed with the desktop software and transmitted via USB to the control unit, which communicates with the PLC. Up to 512 tools or object data can be stored with the additional I/O module. The BK MIKRO9 system is fully featured.

Further Features :
- The number of the nominal values which have to be interrogated is unlimited (digital I/Os: 512 tools max.). A single control system is therefore also sufficient if a processing centre is, for example, extended by a further tool magazine.
- The angles measured by the scanner are transmitted to the control over PROFIBUS for evaluation. If the actual value differs from the nominal value, the production process is stopped by the control.
- Diagnostic features easy accessible with the desktop software.
- Axial scanning of the tool tip possible
- Different types of tools can be checked for damage and correct place in a magazine
- Wands up to 610 mm length for more space between scanner and tool
- Scanning in clockwise or counter-clockwise direction (depends on scanner version)
